Worldwide Collaboration Tool

Voice thread is an online learning tool that is fun to use. Teachers can use this tool to introduce a unit or have students produce a voice thread as project over a covered topic. It can be used at many levels whether your students are in Kindergarten or in High School. Voice thread is easy to use as well. You can add photos, voice, drawings, and even texts with the click of a button. I think Voice Thread should be incorporated into the school year whether it be in a lesson or a presentation for parents day. If you don't know anything about Voice Thread you should check it out and learn how to use it.

Voice Thread

I found this voice thread that I thought would be a different way to welcome students into you new classroom whether it be welcoming them into first grade or even third grade. Instead of teachers sending out letters, the teacher could make a voice thread about that particular grade and then send it to the students.

What's Happening Blog

I am currently in a second grade classroom and am enjoying every minute I get to spend with the students. I am getting ready to teach a spelling lesson where the students are going to practice their words using shaving cream. In a few weeks I will be teaching a week of centers for the students which includes, a computer center, reading center, guided reading center, listening center, writing center, and a spelling center. I have learned so much from our cooperating teacher already. She is very helpful and provides us with an abundance of resources that we can take to our future classrooms. This experience is getting me very excited to start teaching in my own classroom someday.

"Life Story" Poem

White Water Rafting Trip
TT#3 "Life Story"

I can remember the bus ride, sitting in the seat looking out the windows at the rapids rushing down the river. I could feel my heart pounding not knowing what I was getting myself into.

When we finally got into the raft and began paddling down the river it was like a high energy rush came over me. I could feel the rapids pushing and pulling the raft into two different directions. Every few seconds the freezing cold water would cover my entire body leaving me breathless.

By the time we reached the end, the roaring waters had calmed and I laid back in the raft enjoying the beautiful scenery.
